Small batch, Craft beer
Boiling Oar Brewing Company launched as a small batch, craft brewery in Calgary, Alberta. We launched in March 2016 with the intentions of producing approachable and flavourful beer. Our ideology is to craft brews that everyone can appreciate, and not just the "craft beer drinker". We are a small, locally owned company whose objective is to consistently make the best beer we possibly can while making an impact in our community.
Calgary is known to have some of cleanest water in the world, in addition to our media filtration, it is the ideal water chemistry for brewing. Since we are located in the heart of barley country, our beer is crafted with the highest quality malt. We are also just north east of the Yakima valley, a region known to have some of the most unique and sought after hop varieties in the world.

Don't let this cold=fermented ale fool you into thinking it is a lager, because it’s not! We've borrowed a beer style specific to Köln, Germany and created something dangerously serene. This crisp, clean ale sits in at 5% and has been delicately hopped with "Nearly Noble" German hops to 20 IBU's. Light in colour and picking up subtle notes of spice and apple. Our easy drinker pairs well with a patio and some vitamin D.

Pale Ale - Our moderately hopped (North) American styled Pale Ale with what we’ve determined to be the perfect harmony of malt and bitterness. You’ll pick up on notes of grapefruit, citrus and floral which are standard in the Yakima Valley hops we used in crafting this brew. 5.2% ABV 35 IBU
Summer Ale - Using 100% Pilsen Malt from our pals at Rahr malting, we were extremely proud with how this one turned out. With the addition of classic German hops and yeast, we then added a serious amount of Organic Puree from Oregon Fruit Company. Grapefruit purees were added to give this brew a refreshing splash of citrus. 4% ABV 14 IBU
EARLY FALL RELEASE
Prairie Ale - NEW! We used both Galena and Mosaic hops to provide a hint of refreshing tropical citrus to this clean and crisp ale. Malt used is Canadian 2 Row Barley and Canadian White Wheat. 4.7% ABV 30 IBU
